Mixing grout. Choose a sanded grout if you want spaces between tiles. Choose un-sanded grout if the tiles are right up next to each other.
Kind of weird looking when you grout but do not worry it all presses down in between the cracks with a grout float.(next picture)
The foam surface of the grout float helps push in the sanded grout we used and fills the mosaic gaps.
We chose a dark color grout to show off our brightly colored whimsical hand made tiles.
After setting for 15 min we used a damp sponge to smooth things up between the gaps and edges. This also cleans up the tile. We always have to wipe them better individually to really clean them up. Sometimes a haze forms over the tile surface. This can be washed off after everything is dried with a green( we use this) or blue(wont scratch) 3m dish scrubby.
Crazy weird thing we made with extra grout.
Placed into a plastic lined bowl with a few decorative touches. Hmmm I wonder if this could work.
clean up individual tiles with a paper towel.
let dry and clean up if there is a haze or anything left that is covering your fabulous project.
