Roll out “snakes”
Press into plaster mold.
This step could be omitted if you take your time and stack coils .
Smoothing coils with a damp sponge or finger weld the coils together forming a good bond between the coils.
You could smooth the outside instead and leave the coil texture on the inside.
Here are a few things drying.
After the pots are dry you may actually use sandpaper to shape
Now here is how to make a slab plate
Roll out flat piece of clay. The slab roller makes this a quick process.
Rolling pins work great too.
Cut circle and place in paper plate.
Chinette paper plates seem to work well for this.
Smoothing with a wet sponge is the final step before we let it dry a bit and unmold it.
