scale with frit 3124
Maiolica is a process where a white base glaze is applied on bisque ceramic ware and colorful stains melt and are fused into the surface. This creates a certain depth to the glaze that is very beautiful.

mixing the maiolica base glaze. Ostermann recipe:
Frit 3124……………60.0
Frit 3195……………10.0
Ball Clay…………….6.5
EPK………………….6.5
Flint………………..4.0
Whiting………………2.0
Zircopax……………..11.0

I used 65ml of water to make a sprayable mixture.

Spraying with a “critter” sprayer

colored stains : yellow
1 part……….yellow
1/8 part……..red
1 part……….frit 3124

Finished sprayed pieces.
